High price, low quality
Take a look at the photos I posted to "Customer images". Both shoes developed the same defect, on both sides of a shoe, and the leather became grungy, after just several months of 2-4-days-a-week wear, and fairly conscientious care. This is not the durability I expect from $100+ shoes.
